Abstract:
The article continues the cycle of the author‟s publications in which the problems of
psychopoetics in the context of modern literary studies development are considered. The presence of
the author in the artistic work is generally associated with the specificity of the author‟s consciousness
which is represented by means of points of view expression. The conceptual category «point of view»
is comprehended as the form of the author‟s consciousness expression from the position of
psychopoetics. The content essence of the concept, the points of view typology and the forms of their
expression in the artistic work are found out.
The point of view interpretation is based on B. Uspensky‟s semiotic theory, which corresponds
with the fundamental problems of the discursive narratology about the main semantic functions of the
point of view in the artistic narration and about the connections between the hierarchical organization
of the narrative post-modernist text and the semantic functions of the point of view as multilevel
strategy of statement. The differentiation of the points of view helps to highlight out subjective and
objective «layers» or «spheres» of the narrator and characters in the text and also to take the forms of
the addressness of the whole text or its particular extracts into consideration.
